Bonaventure’s debut EP, “Come Hell or High Water” has had everyone talking since its release in May, and the band (composed of Andrew Albert and Dan Smyers) can’t wait to take it on the road. We caught up with Dan to hear all about where the band would be this summer! Check it out!
Between the two of us, we have traveled the globe, time, and time again. This summer, we plan to continue that trend and hit the road in support of debut EP, “Come Hell or High Water”. Right now, we are in the process of setting up dates all throughout the country, but one show in particular that we are on the edge of our seat for is the Summer Jam Music Festival, in Centreville, VA. We will have the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of our favorite artists, including Lifehouse! It has always been a dream of ours to see these guys live, and now we have the honor of playing a show with them. In addition to Lifehouse, there are plenty of other artists we are eager to watch at this show, including LIGHTS, The Cab, and many more. Not promising anything, but since we’ll be hiking it halfway across the country for this show in VA, there is a strong possibility we will be doing more northeast shows in August.
We plan to play live as much as possible this summer, but another trip that we are looking forward to is our late-summer California adventure! It has been almost two years since Andy and I have been out west, so this is long overdue. I’m sure we will spend our fair share of time at the beach catching good vibes, but the actual intention of this trip is to continue working on our forthcoming full-length album! We’re excited to write with a lot of friends in California, and hopefully get into the studio to start tracking new material. For anybody who has seen us play live lately, we have been playing a summer anthem called ‘American Girls, which is a strong contender to be tracked in LA this summer.
As of right now, most of our traveling is tentative and still being worked out, but I’m sure as soon as July rolls around, we’ll be on the road nonstop. We love nothing more than playing our tunes in front of a live audience and meeting the kind folks that make this whole thing possible, so we’re looking forward to a busy summer of roadtrips and traveling. Big thanks to y’all at Naked Magazine for letting me ramble about my love for traveling, especially in the summertime! Hope to see everybody out there!
