The men of Dan + Shay have a lot to celebrate lately – Dan Smyers is currently engaged to his longtime girlfriend, and Shay Mooney just welcomed the birth of his first son. And on top of that, the success of their sophomore record Obsessed is taking the duo to new heights – including a string of sold out shows across the country. The two brought their Obsessed Tour to the Starland Ballroom in New Jersey last week and one thing was made certain: Dan + Shay’s fans are much more than radio fans. The sold out crowd knew not only the words to the singles, but to every song on both of their albums and their recently penned “When I Pray For You”, which was included on The Shack soundtrack. Dan + Shay also threw in some fun covers – like The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” and Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name”, as well as Rascal Flatts’ “I Like The Sound of That”, which Shay wrote. Opening up for the duo was newcomer Jackie Lee, who definitely won over the crowd with his smooth songwriting and delightful stage presence. Check out some photos from the show!
