The thirteenth annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival held in Manchester, Tennesse is set to kickoff on June 12th and end on June 15th this year. With an average attendance of around 80,000 to 100,000 participants, Bonnaroo is one of the country’s biggest and most diverse festivals of the year. With rap acts such as Kanye West, rock and roll legends like Elton John, and indie frontrunners, Arctic Monkeys, this year’s festival lineup has something for literally every type of music lover. Notable acts such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Phoenix, and Skrillex are also set to grace the stages this year.
As a music AND arts festival, Bonnaroo will also be showcasing artworks such as 60’s-themed posters, newsletters, films, and even live comedy acts such as Hannibal Buress. Festival-goes are also given the chance to participate in “The Academy” where everyone can learn to do things ranging from belly dancing to gardening. In addition to this, Bonnaroo holds a Superjam stage where artists of different genres are put on the same bill for the day and fans are to come in with no expectations as to who will be up on stage next. This is a solid option for music lovers who are fans of multiple genres and staying put.
This year’s lineup is definitely one of the best this festival and the fans have ever seen, and the inability to contain your anticipation is most definitely understood.
