Here we are back again with another installment of our Music Festival Guide series. In today’s post we will be talking about the newcomer, Sweetlife Music + Food Festival. Sweetlife began in 2010 but despite the lack of history, it has become one of the most exciting festivals during this season. With headliners like Lana Del Ray and Foster The People this year along with performers like Bastille and 2 Chainz, Sweetlife has one of the best line-ups around.
Aside from the rocking music, Sweetlife also showcases food from local restaurants and farmers and is all about sustainability and taking care of the Earth. Sweetlife is held by Sweetgreen, popular salad and frozen yogurt shops in the DC Metro area. They use local and organic ingredients in their foods to help support their community and help better the area.
Sweetlife is held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland which if you have not had the chance to attend an event there then let me tell you that it’s a beautiful, woodsy venue that gives the perfect location for a festival. With such great line-ups every year and delicious food at every corner, the is no reason to pass up Sweetlife if you’re on the East Coast on May 10th this year.
Here’s a video that was released to announce the artists for this year’s festival:
