For Fans Of:Vampire Weekend, Young The Giant, Two Door Cinema Club
In addition to filling legendary Texas venues such as Trees and Stubbs, TEAM*, the Texas based indie alternative group, has shared the stage with Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, Royal Teeth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. and The Olms (Pete Yorn). Most recently, the band toured as direct support on the sold out Third Eye Blind tour. TEAM* has worked to develop a sound that pushes the indie/alternative genre to new heights, and it’s clearly accomplished in their upcoming album, which is full of unique alternative indie choral sounds and incorporates influences from the Beach Boys to Jack White. Good Morning Bad Day was produced and mixed by Will Pugh (Cartel), and will be released on October 14th via South By Sea Music.
What has been your biggest accomplishment this year so far?
Getting a record we are really happy with completed under our own terms was our goal, and we did it! It’s called Good Morning Bad Day and you can pre-order it right now on Itunes! It’s also been fun seeing the first ep be so heavily used in tv and film, we were surprised by that.
What are some of your goals for CMJ week?
We have never taken part in CMJ before, so we are very much looking forward to it and seeing what the legend is all about. Our goal is to play some great shows and let people know what we’re up to!
What’s on the agenda for the rest of 2014?
Touring heavily, writing, more touring, possibly take up working out again, but probably not.
