Named one of NPR’s 5 New Bands To Watch At SXSW in 2014, Austin’s rising dream rock singer/songwriter/guitarist, Emily Wolfe, will be releasing an upcoming EP, “Roulette,” on October 7th, 2014 – just before her upcoming performances at Austin City Limits and the CMJ Music Marathon.Produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Patty Griffin, Dead Confederate), the 5-song EP takes listeners on a journey through Wolfe’s haunting vocals, roaring lead guitar, fuzzy bass lines and driving drum beats. What has been your biggest accomplishment this year so far?
Definitely the biggest accomplishment this year has been getting asked to play ACL. It’s something each of us have individually dreamed about so for it to happen this year was just so awesome.
What are some of your goals for CMJ week?
Honestly our goal for CMJ is to just have a ton of fun. We love playing in New York City and a bunch of our buddies will be up there also. So we plan to have a great time & eat a ton of pizza and bagels.
What’s on the agenda for the rest of 2014?
A fall tour, enjoying the release of Roulette and continuing to play music we love and hopefully people continue to dig that!
